I don't know who said you can never go back home, but maybe you should every once in a while just so you get those small reminders of what real life looks like.

My great-great granddad moved to Texas after doing his part for the losing side in the Civil War. He bought the farm from the State for $1/acre and the family has been living there every since.

But even way back in the woods, there are signs of the encroachment of civilization. Mother's not happy cause someone bought the place a half mile down the gravel road and built a house. She figures she's going to have to buy curtains now.

But she did get a new John Deere tractor for Valentine's Day...........complete with air-conditioning, windshield defrosters, and a coffee cup holder. I suppose it won't be long before she'll be shredding the pasture while drinking Starbuck's.
