Relay For Life is an overnight
event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research
and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of
people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking
or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the
track at all times.
Chuck Mathieu and I volunteer our time to entertain folks while they
are walking, running, or jogging all night. It's always fun and
entertaining, and you can't help but leave with a tremendous respect for
all the dedicated individuals who are determined to do their part to
find a cure.
